Love Assassins – The Boy Is Mine
“The Boy Is Mine” is Love Assassin’s second single following on from their club smash “Teardrops”. The Architechs unofficial bootleg of Brandy & Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine” from 1998 was and still is one of the biggest garage records hammered by all the biggest DJs. However, because it was uncleared this monster anthem has never received the full support it deserved. Now Love Assassins and JoBabe present their new take on this absolute classic with remixes by both Soulshaker and Love Assassins with their own Rebel Bassline Remix, to the fuse Old Skool Garage vibes of the original, with Nu Skool Bassline and breathe life into this classic for 2008.

As an A&R man, Dave has always hung around the Media Records studios, getting involved as much as possible, until deciding to just go full out and start putting the millions of ideas in his head to good use. This second single ‘All Alone’ brings together some retro sounding vocals and big piano with the Love Assassins standard pumping big room electro basslines & beats to create a beautiful yet banging, fresh and funky track.

Big In Ibiza’s team of studio misfits and resident DJ’s once again join together under their Love Assassin’s guise for a massive rework of Bran Van 3000’s 1990’s top 3 UK hit “Drinking In L.A”.
Having remixed for the likes of Mauro Picotto, Fonzerelli and Tito Puente Jnr Ft India’s Beatport chart topping “Oye Como Va”, as well as a series of killer club tracks Love Assassins have established themselves as a production and remix outfit in their own right and “Drinking In L.A” showcases why.
The Original Mix sticks to the group’s trademark House style layered over by the immediately recognisable vocals, but taking the record in a whole new big room Dance direction. On the flip, the Big In Ibiza remix supplies a more club orientated mix building from the original into a rolling electro record pushed forward by the continuous vocal stabs.
